my lover's a carnivore

So I went back to Ottawa the past weekend to move in and get all my shit in my room.
Since it was the long weekend, we decided to go see some things in the capital city, namely the Canadian Museum of Nature.

(warning: lots of pretty photos, minus the ones of me.)
(shirt: thrifted; shorts: f21)
LOL at these posed photos that my dad took of me....sorry I have basically the same pose in all these.

DINO. (And more importantly, I HAVE ON THE CLAIRE'S MOOD CHANGING NAIL POLISH!! IT CHANGES COLOURS!!!)

Some bird dinosaur. HE WILL EAT CHU.

Really emo/epic headshot with the spotlight. My face looks bloated.

I was super impressed with the building, it's like a 1800s stone building that was just renovated with a big GLASS BOX on top of it.

Really big turtle skeleton. It's like the size of a (small) whale.

My favourite part of the museum was the rocks and minerals section.
The natural forming rocks are so pretty!!!
They form in the most impossible shapes. Nature is amaaaaaazing!

I like this shot with the spotlight.
I am indulging my ~ artiness ~. I'm such an artist, I'm almost hipster.

Sedimentary stone with the prettiest iridescent flecks..kind of reminds me of the coveted nail polish Hidden Treasure!
(Which BTW, my friend found me a bottle that I have yet to use. SO EXCITED)

Loved the aviary section with the big ass birds.

Frogs doing each other. In front of little kids. How indecent.

Leopard cub. Once again, indulging my artiness.

A decent photo of a squirrel simply because I can never get this close to a real one.

These are actually real frogs. Look at their expressions of LULZ.

Ok, if you're still reading, I thought I'd throw in some photos of REAL animals.
My cousin came by yesterday with her Pekinese in tow.
Awwww, SO CUTE.

This looks so funny! My dad pulled back her face and her eyes were all bulging out.
